The government, unprepared to protect us from this sort of tragedy has declared a state of emergency and pledged billions of dollars in reconstruction money. Meanwhile, black leaders point to an obvious plot on the part affluent White Christian Evangelicals to keep down disadvantaged inner city black youth by asking God to drop the sky. On another front to this growing controversy, environmentalist groups blame corporate greed for destroying the environment, causing global |

| Change the event, and this satirical news story can be seen and heard across America in a constant barrage of competing, hyper stimulating coverage accross almost every news broadcast, printed paper or web outlet. The news has become big business which has driven media executives to toss out the journalistic handbook. There was a point in our nation where we truly felt that we could trust the media to give us an unbiased look at the world around us. Fortunately, the advent of the Internet has allowed for a counter revolution to this change at the anchor desk. This revolution comes in the form of Blogs or Weblogs for you newbies out there. These Blogs began as first person opinion journals by the web savy few, but have grown into constant counter point to almost anything the media tries to slide down |
our necks. Even the mighty CNN has begun dedicating a section of their news cast to just the opinions of Bloggers. The reason for LincolnsBLOG is to give a legitimate voice to the opinions of the people. No longer must we sit idle in our armchairs yelling at the indiscressions of the media. You, me and everyone can make a difference. Start by reading some articles. If you have something to say about what you read, POST IT!
